I blinked my eyes open, clearing them of their grogginess. My breathing hitched as my eyes met millions of twinkling stars scattered around the night sky. A full moon peeked over tall dark trees, bathing everything in a silver glow. I lay in a clearing in the middle of the woods, and I wore nothing but my white, thin, and silky nightgown. I sat up slowly in confusion. Where was I? What was I doing here? A snap of a twig had me glancing behind. I saw what had caused the noise, but I really wish I hadn't. A dark shadow loomed out of the trees and strutted in the moonlight. I resisted the urge to let out a high pitched scream as my eyes drank in the appearance of the tall, dark, and handsome man that had blood running down the front of his shirt. He brushed his dark hair out of his dull gray eyes as he stared at me expectantly. I could only guess what he was waiting on, but I didn't want to stick around and be the cause of his shirt getting more bloody. So, with as much strength as I could muster, I jumped to my feet and took off into the darkest part of the woods. If little red ridding hood could see me now....
