He's smart, ruthlessly pragmatic, and he's got a kickass best friend to boot. His life isn't perfect, but with only one year left until graduation Jonah faces a very serious dilemma when he's volunteered to tutor the school's star quarterback. No amount of fast talking or quick thinking will save him from this cliché, and when he's already up against a distant father, an overbearing guidance counselor, and less than helpful peers, can he somehow learn how to get along with the arrogant but hot jock? Whatever he does, Jonah knows one thing for sure--he's in for one hell of a ride before high school's over. ▪️ *REVIEWS* "...a literary juggernaut masquerading as harmless teen fiction, drawing you in with promises of fluffy clichés only to eviscerate you and leave you emotionally scarred when you let your guard down. 10/10, by far one of the best books I've read on Wattpad. Would absolutely recommend." "I read this book all in one day and I have to say, this is one of the best books if not "the" best book I've ever read on Wattpad. It honestly is an amazingly crafted masterpiece. So relatable and everything but cliché." "I can confidently say that this book is a masterpiece !!! BRAVO just bravo 👏👏👏 No book has ever made me feel this emotional and invested in fictional characters that do not exist like this one does."

"You can't like him, you just can't!" "I know. It's wrong, but it's how I feel and I can't freaking control that." We've all heard the phrase 'The heart wants what it wants' or 'You can't control how you feel', and according to Nate, his life is just an example of that. (#5 General Fiction)

At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.
