[Alternate Universe where Jacob stays at the home] It had been three days since Jacob accepted the invitation to stay at the children's home, and he was already feeling uneasy; Enoch had been practically stalking him and Emma was constantly trying to get him to do something with her. Other than that, everything with the children were going fine. He'd found a place where he fit in and could be himself and he'd made more friends than he'd ever had, and that was saying something. But there was something he couldn't put his finger on: why was Enoch always there when he had no reason to be? Jacob is determined to find out, and doing that might just be one of the best (or worst) ideas he ever had. [I recently watched the movie for MPHFPC, and I fell in love with the characters! More importantly, the shippings. On a side note, while I don't like the idea that they switched Olive and Emma's peculiarities, it's something I have to deal with and is something that this story will contain.]

[Inspired by a multitude of tumblr prompts concerning color; and this also runs off of the book and the movie. For example: the wights that appear do not have their powers, just like the books, but Emma and Olive are switched like they are in the movie.] Jacob grew up being able to see everything in only a blue tint. He never quite understood why, until his best and only friend Ricky explained it to him. At one point, he thought that he had found the person who would bring the light into his life, and she did for a while... But then he found out that she had only been pretending to like him; it was a dare and she got five bucks out of it. Jacob nearly gave up on finding his soulmate and he was prepared to face his blue-tinted world, until he was taken to the children's home; until he locked eyes with Enoch O'Connor and suddenly, the light came flooding back into his life.
