"The left will abide a regal queer." - Natalie Wynn *** Imagine a man standing on a stool at a comedy club. "I'm alive, am I right?" The audience bursts out laughing. "Now let me read a 500-word essay about what it means to be alive." Hollering and applause. "What does it mean to exist? Is it gay?" That's this book. The man is me, the audience is imagined, the club is Wattpad. *** I'm aiming at amateur philosophy woven with stories about being a trans man, writen in the style you'd expect from a superhero writer. The essay and nonfiction format is very out of my comfort zone and I hope you like it. ** Beautiful cover by @foxinscreamingcolor!

Despite the sexist partners, the useless investigators, and the troublesome clients, "Attorney at Law" was the one title Cassandra Foreman vied her whole life to get. Maybe that's why she takes on a hopeless case: a seventeen year old girl charged with the murder of her unfaithful boyfriend. Cassandra knows she's biting off more than she can chew, but that seems to be the story of her life. So even when she develops irrevocably strong feelings for her client, which is wrong in far too many ways, she resolves that quitting would be the one thing worse than never having gone to law school at all.

"It was the typical American marriage: day after ceaseless day of betrayal, right up to his very last breath." A full-time surgeon and full-time mother, Dr. Casey Kenny's third career is damage control. Casey's days are spent covering her husband's tracks as his constant scandals begin to unravel; but living in the public eye as the wife of a United States senator, Casey knows that an unhappy marriage is just her pill to swallow. Just like Senator Wilson Kenny, Casey has some secrets of her own, but she swears her extramarital affairs are just how she keeps herself sane; that is, until her former intern Hallie Strickland begins to change Casey's ideas about love and commitment, and both Casey and Hallie begin to put themselves on the line to rescue the other from deterioration. Casey finds herself in deeper than she ever anticipated. When Wilson Kenny is assassinated mere days after his affair hits the news, all fingers point to Casey. As always, it's her job to pick up the pieces, but now it's her own past that she needs to cover. Cover art by the wildly talented @JaneDoeSmith1! Trigger warning: discussion of DV/IPV

'"If she's somehow convinced you that she doesn't control you then she's exercised the greatest control of all," she says so tiredly it makes me immediately conscious of how naive I've been. "She decides your every move."' When the adult population of the Herel Plain, a small country known equally for its film industry and repressive government, is decimated by a civil war, the state sets up an auction system to distribute the newly orphaned youth into American foster homes. The so-called "Pageant" separates Savannah from the brother she has raised and places her in the hands of a violent, brooding entrepreneur and his wife, a callous and alluring college professor, who enlist her - along with their thirteen year old daughter Laurencia and their irreverent, young assistant, Nasrine - as a dealer in the high-end American drug trade. When Nas comes to her with an unthinkable scheme to take off with the money, Savannah sees her opportunity to be reunited with her brother and give him the life they never had. To run away is all she ever wanted, but when the moment finally strikes, something about her new employer makes her want to stay. The Grim Reaper makes fun of death. He laughs at it's sight. He lives for it. However, an agreement has been made, decades ago, between Grim and God. The agreement states that Grim would bring the criminals and the "unholy" to Hell but leave the good ones for God to bring up to Heaven, yet Grim manipulates and derides that agreement. As his punishment, he is sent down to Earth in a woman's body. And, within Grim's consequence, God hopes he will learn more about humanity by the most logical way possible- being around them.

"Alis returned to cover and closed her eyes to steady her heart. When her eyes opened she found herself face to face with the medicine man. His flesh had gone from smoldering bronze to lifeless ash; his eyes were pools of ink and his mouth oozed blood hued black by shadows." The "Lost Colony" of Roanoke is considered to be one of the great mysteries of early American history. Some believe the colonists were forced out by famine, some believe they went to live amongst the neighboring tribes, others believe they were killed by the Native Americans. The truth is that they encountered a timeless evil that haunts to this day.
