This is an AU so it is not based that much off of the episodes of Yuri on Ice -------------------------------- When Yuri Katsuki was 10, the Hot Springs was burned to the ground, taking his mother and father with it. Since his mother was a Japanese known skater, he decided to continue her legacy but memories of the incident 9 years ago haunt him and affect his skating career. 22 year old Victor Nikiforov notices Yuri's odd behavior on the ice during Japan's Nation Ice Skating competition along with a scar from the fire. Viktor and Yuuri were born to make history. They were also born for each other, let's be honest here. There was more going on behind Viktor's small, satisfied smile as he watched Yuuri dance Eros. A WHOLE LOT more. But Viktor's always been pretty good at hiding his emotions. Those who smile the brightest hide the most pain, right? Oh, but don't worry, this isn't angsty or a tragedy or anything like that. It's going to be a pure, fluffy love story. After all, it's a common trope that idiots smile a lot, too.
