After restoring the heart, Moana and Maui head back home. When Maui meets everyone, he meets Moana's bestfriend Crystal. Will Maui leave and go on his own or will she be a reason for him to stay?

Lana Mele Waialiki is the younger sister of Moana Waialiki. They both live on the island of Motunui, and are both destined to become their tribe's future chief. Moana, being the oldest, is meant to be chief before Lana. The two sisters don't want to be a chief though, they want to go out and explore the ocean. They both grew sick of the small lagoon a while ago. Ever since they were children, they've been trying to sail out to the ocean beyond the lagoon, always getting caught. So instead, they spent their days listening to mythical stories told by Grandma Tala, and learning about what a chief does. But something changes their fates. Something is happening to their island, that has happened to many others before them. Lana, Moana, and their animal friends set off on a journey across the ocean to fulfill their destinies. Lana though, isn't sure about this, for she has a big secret and it's been weighing her down for a long time. -This will follow the plot line of Moana the disney movie. if you haven't seen it yet, don't read this book and go see it it's really good. i just watched the new Disney movie Moana today! and i couldn't have been more satisfied or alive then i was fangirling silently in the movie theater. i definitely loved the demigod Maui! he was amazing! i fell in love before even the song! just a warning there will be spoiler's in the book. also, you are a Hawaiian Polynesian teenager that meet's Maui and falls in love. this is all before he meet's Moana and steal's the heart.
