PS. This is a sequel to Preordained, my first book. After a night of excessive drinking, an intoxicated Saheed gets help from a stranger. And for payback, she makes an unusual request. Curious and intrigued, he obliges her. What harm would it cause, pretending to be her boyfriend for two weeks? After all, he is quite the ladies man. Living the lie seems easy at first... Until he begins to believe the lie himself... Or is she just too good at acting? ___ Desperate and afraid of being exposed for lying, Olaedo Matthews convinces the seemingly overconfident and arrogant Saheed Bello to stand in as her man for a fortnight. Surprisingly, he fits into the role easily, coming to her rescue a thousand and one times. Soon she realises they might be more than co-actors who know their scripts very well. But what if they're just too good at acting, at covering their shortcomings with smiles and kisses for the public so people can look at them and ask, "God, when?" And after their two weeks together are over, what next? Highest ranking: No. 30 in #Africa 06/08/2020.

After moving to London with her best friend, the last thing Elle expects is to fall for a celebrity - though it may be more trouble than it's worth. ***** Elle Robinson never thought the man she's loved for nearly her entire existence would leave her, but when he does, she sees no other alternative than to run away to London. It wasn't the best laid plan for someone who typically thinks through every little detail, but when she meets screen and stage actor Jude Anderson, who never fails to bring a blush to her cheeks, she believes her life is finally on the right track again - new love included. But no romance is complete without a little drama, anxiety, and miscommunication - leaving Elle to learn how to take her life into her own hands and separate fact from fiction when her relationship hits the public eye. Someone Else is the first book in a trilogy following Elle and Jude's love story. [[word count: 100,000-150,000 words]] Cover designed by Moe Sangster

The sound of the shattering glass sent a chill down my spine, forcing me to withdraw deeper into the corner where I was tucked in. "Mansur, please stop. At least for Aaliyah's sake." I begged, the tears streaming down my cheeks. He swung around to face me, his eyes blazing with rage. "To hell with you and that bloody girl." he yelled. Do you hear me, Salma? To HELL with you and her. This is my house, and I can do whatever I want." he yelled, throwing the bottle at my dressing mirror. The glass shattered all over the room, the larger pieces landing on some of the bottles on the drawer beside the dressing mirror in which I kept my incense sticks. This caused them to shatter as well, the glass falling everywhere across the room. I could hear Aaliyah crying in the next room, but I could not go to her as Mansur was blocking the door. "You will learn your place today." he yelled, unbuckling his belt. I shut my eyes as the tears continued to flow, knowing all too well what came next. The first strike was always the one that hurt most.

The door flung open into the dark room, lightening struck the dark sky shining a little light on the shirtless man that stood by the doorway. "Who's there" my shaky voice masked with fear asked. Paying a deaf ear to my question he walked deeper into the room towards my bed as my shaky hands drew the covers higher over my whimpering self, right up to my nose. "Khalil?" my voice sounded weird coming through the thick duvet, it felt awkward calling his name I mean am I even allowed to call him that? I was more scared now that I knew who it was. What was he doing in room? A loud thunder sound came as he sat beside me, a little too close. Does this man know he's shirtless and in my room at eleven p.m? "Have you chosen a surrogate?" his thick voice cut through the sound of raindrops and my train of thoughts. I slowly shook my head at him. "Relax"He raised his hand to my face which was still covered halfway and slowly dragged down the covers down to my abdomen revealing my bare arms in my spaghetti strap v neck nightwear. I scanned the room for my robe and found it hanging on the coat rack in the far end of my room, I would get up to get it but my nightgown didn't really qualify as a gown. I watched his eyes travel up my body landing on my chest, his Adams apple bobbed up. He shut his eyes and when he opened them, they landed on mine sending shivers down my spine... Hidaya Hassan Abdulqadir thought she lost it all when her parents and lover all died in a plane crash, she slowly tried to move on from then letting the almighty take control after a year of grieving. She is married off to electronic magnet, Khalil Nuhu DanMaliki who was her father's business partner in hopes of saving her fathers legacy. Follow them on their journey through marriage and see how their love unfolds even though true love can only be permanent in Jannah. All rights reserved®
