Lance McClain was burdened with a lot of things; anxiety, fretful thoughts, a bad home life... But his obsession with stars was not, what he'd consider, a burden. Lance would take up any offer just to stare at them, even when handed the slimmest of chances. Even when - realistically - there wasn't a way to see them. Even if the only spot to see stars were in a city, with hundreds of other artificial lights surrounding him, drowning out the natural brilliance of the real lights strung up far in the sky above. Stars offered him a comfort that no one else could - he much rather preferred the purple and blue tint of the sky compared to the marks of purple and blue on his skin. He himself was blue; figuratively, yes, but he also cherished the colour and adorned it on many of his things.
