[BOOK 1] After a war over a century ago, there have been several laws set in place to restrain the rights of individuals with special abilities-most commonly referred to as abnormals. The Nocona family came to power during the worldwide conflict, resulting in Marley Nocona becoming the eventual heir to a throne that will rule an entire half of the planet. However, after an incident that reveals him to be a member of the abnormal race, he is sent to 1-A IAP, where he is to be studied until a cure is found. This is the plan, until of course he meets a man named Nero Accardi. Said man happens to hate his entire family with a burning passion-not exactly uncommon amongst the residents in the institution. Marley, now forced to deal with a moody roommate and an extremely inconvenient abnormality, feels as though the world is just generally out to get him. His life is only complicated further when it becomes apparent that not only is Nero his only way out of the place, but he also has a tendency to make Marley question everything he's ever known. Marley is positive of one thing, though, and that is the fact that he needs to do anything possible to ensure his kingship- It's the only way to finally correct the world that his predecessors have wronged so cruelly. [] [] [] [General Warnings: um I guess age gap? Marley is 17 then 18 and Nero is 20 so if you have an issue with that then I don't recommend reading. Also blood/gore and it gets kinda graphic because this dude happens to get injured. A lot.] [Mature Warning: sexual content, swearing, & past physical (and verbal) abuse. The abuse is not explicitly graphic or anything, but it still has an impact on the story.] ❦ AN: I promise you this book is not as dark as the warnings are ok. give me a chance or don't I'm not your dad

Drew remembered the little girl who befriended him when no one else would. He remembered her long braids and her cocoa butter scent. And when he found her again, he swore to never let go. He made a silent promise; that no matter where he went or what he was doing, he'd always come back to her.

"You hit my car and left 30 dollars?" "I know and I'm truly sorry." "What the hell am I supposed to do with 30 dollars?" "Sorry, it was all I had on me! I don't carry cash, alright. What did you expect me to do, leave my debit card?" "I expected to not walk out and find my car dented." ** This is a DIALOGUE book **

"I fucking hate you." "You shouldn't really say things like that when my dick is up your ass, Norris." Two hot-headed athletes with overflowing rage and unwinding sex drive is very much never a good combo. Bryce and Ian never see eye to eye on things. Despite being caged in the same group of friends in the same swimming team of the - yes, you guessed it - same high school, the star swimmers of Norton High hadn't exactly made good first impressions to each other on the ill-fated day they met, and let's just say things spiraled horribly from there. The two rage-fueled boys always thought that they're in this feud for the long haul until one argument escalated into something that at no point in any of their lives would they allow to happen if only they did not get a little too out of control. Sex. There's a thin line between love and hate, and Bryce and Ian's barrier just keeps getting thinner and thinner. A.K.A. Bryce and Ian were fuckbuddies... up until they weren't. New to the small southern town, brown-skinned Evalyn Brown answers an ad for domestic help. Enter her new employer, the disagreeable and decidedly white William Davis, who works for the town's police department. As time progresses, their relationship to each other, their small town, and the people who inhabit it changes. In the mid-1900s in a place so easily described as backwards, change can very rapidly become a dangerous friend. x He said nothing but continued to approach, and I started backing up, my hands in front of me to create space. He advanced until I had nowhere to go, and the stories of southern Negro women being lynched, beaten, raped, and on swirled in my mind. There were some battles to fight, and this was not one of them. I just wanted to appease whatever angry beast I had stirred within him and go back to my role as his quiet housekeeper. "William, I - ." Idiot! His whispered name slipped from my mouth before I could stop it. Today was the worst possible day to mistakenly call him by his first name. I closed my eyes as tears escaped out their corners. I didn't want to watch whatever was going to happen next. "Look. At. Me." His words were a constrictor that wound around my neck and tightened. His heady, hot breath fanned over my face. I opened my eyes and peered through my tear-blurred vision. His orbs were almost black as onyx, but tumultuous and frightening. He studied me and my pulse thudded deafeningly in my ears. "I want you to stop." His voice was low and threatening.
