Se faire rejeter juste avant un cours sur les économies monde est assez loin de ma définition du bonheur. Voire très loin. Je n'aurais donc jamais pu imaginer que ça me permette d'imaginer la théorie la plus brève, la plus évidente, et la plus farfelue de toutes mes théories : La Théorie de l'Ennui. Et grâce à elle, plus rien ne sera jamais pareil.

-C'EST TRES BEAU, ai-je dit très fort. -JE SAIS. Il s'est assis sur un banc au bord de l'eau calme et je l'ai imité. Il a souri. J'ai souri. Le héron a souri. Son regard s'est posé sur moi et m'a détaillée très longtemps, si longtemps que j'ai pensé qu'il allait m'embrasser. Et puis je me suis souvenue que j'avais le look d'un camionneur texan et ça m'a rassurée. -Tu sais l'ami, ai-je dit au bout d'un moment, avant de te connaître, j'étais convaincue que tu étais le genre de type à associer chaque prénom de fille à une paire de fesses. Il a ri silencieusement. Dans ce havre de paix, au cœur de la nature, à la naissance du jour, s'élevait ma voix d'ogre. -Je suis contente qu'on soit amis.
