Annabeth dumps Percy after they'd been together for over five years. As a result, Percy is devastated and depressed. He goes to a bar and gets so drunk that by the next day he can't remember much of what happened to him at the bar. Several months later he receives something that he wasn't expecting. I started this story before I read the trials of Apollo so they will not be included in this story.

Five months later, after starting over with North, Allie is finding out that she may not be cut out for a new lifestyle so soon. Creating a new beginning with North was one thing, but moving into a new home, planning to engage in another relationship and attending high class private parties is another. When the girls grow fond of bickering and arguing, one horrific night throws Allie back in time due to a traumatic and almost fatal accident. Now North must help Allie recover and rebuild their relationship from square one once again, but rebuilding an original isn't possible. Sometimes second chances come with a price.
