When Patricia's mother dies, everything that she thought she knew about her world collapses. She is thrown into grief and her father is unable to support her due to his own sadness. She feels completely without direction. That is until she receives an invitation from a Grandfather she never knew inviting her to come to his boarding school in England for a few months to help her escape and deal with her mother's death. Patricia accepts the invitation, feeling desperate to leave this life behind, and attends a beautiful Boarding School in England that was once home to many Royal Families. While at the school, Patricia meets Henry who tells her tales about the historical Castle; including the mysterious and unsolved murder of a Princess long ago. It soon becomes clear that Patricia must solve the mystery of the Princess' murder, or succumb to the same fate.

But there is treatment... expensive treatment. One morning, Steph decides that she no longer wants to have to live in a world where her parents have to work so hard just to buy her more time. So she misses her medication. But when she expected to die a horrible death, something amazing happens: she feels more alive than ever. But Stephanie is running out of time in a different sense. The Department of Disease control is onto her and she has to decide what she thinks is important to live and die for. Is it friendship, the truth, or love?
