It was the summer of '62 when everything changed. And not for the worse, for the better. It all started when we moved into a valley neighborhood. It was two weeks before school let out, which didn't leave me and my little brother, Scotty any time to make friends. The stupid part was, our mother and stepdad made us go to school with only two weeks left. You could imagine how annoyed we were. But what we didn't know is that 8 very different boys would be the ones to save our summer and many after that. This is the story of how me, Emmy Smalls and my brother, Scotty would make 8 friends that would change our lives forever. The Sandlot.

The boys all laugh quietly, knowing a girl couldn't play. Until she pitches.

"Hey did you hit that homer?!" The guy nodded and took off his cap. Beautiful wavy hair came down. Our mouths dropped. "Y-y-your uhh- "A girl." Olivia Hale was an odd ball. She was bullied for being a girl who liked to play baseball. When her mom died in a car crash she moved to another town with her dad and brothers for a fresh start. What happens when she meets a certain baseball player and falls head over heels for him? Will he make her forget all her troubles? Or will he give her some new problems to worry about?
