Juno was happy living in Tacoma, but an opportunity for their parents to realize their dream sees them and their family moving up to Redwood Harbor, a small tourist town up in northern California. It's there that Juno catches the eye of two locals; Miriam; the adoptive daughter of influential Lindell family, and Sebastian Graves, a teenage runaway living with a group of newcomers that run the new tavern in town. Unbeknownst to Juno, this puts them in the middle of a brewing conflict between two factions of werewolves about to explode. Torn between friends, traditions and ancient supernatural laws, can Juno prevent a conflict that could destroy their new hometown?

Magic is a complicated thing. Especially when whole planets get involved. Taali and The Fen are constantly on the verge of destroying each other, only stopped by three spiraling moons Balancing the two. These moons are inhabited by the Castaways, the criminals that had performed terrible crimes with powerful magic and were thus cast from Taali, who have no memory of their pasts or what they had done to get Cast Out to the Balance, giving them a clean slate and another chance to discover who they want to be. Steve is one such Castaway who finds himself alone on one of the moons for several years. He encountered no one, growing more and more lonely and hopeless, until an amber-haired woman he vaguely recognizes steps from the shadows of the forest. A woman that stares at him with unfathomable loss and hatred before vanishing into a portal where he cannot follow. While searching for her, he discovers the Castaways of the darkest moon first, who take him in upon realizing his avid desperation to avoid being alone. Meanwhile, the people of Taali begin invading the peaceful moons to capture Steve's newfound family, bent on using Castaway magic for Taali's gain, no matter the consequences.

Given up for adoption at birth, Alex Kincaid never cared about their birth family, the Wellington who'd taken them in were their family as far as they were concerned.
