In this modern time AU, Steve starts his first day of 6th grade a month late and it didn't start out exactly the way he pictured it.

One-shots, all shipping James "Bucky" Barnes and Steve Rogers (AKA Captain America). Other various characters are mentioned/featured. Any details will be noted in each one-shot. After waking up from the ice, Steve gets lost in his own head. The avengers notice that Steve gets distant. After a lot of coaxing Steve starts telling the avengers about his past with Bucky. Eventually they all begin to know and love Bucky as well. Soon, a new villain more powerful, skilled and ruthless as the Black Widow shows up and the avengers are forced to fight the Winter Soldier.

(after the movie Civil War) Steve and Bucky must flee together, the Winter Soldiers' enemies wanting to take Bucky down. They grow closer than ever and Steve helps Bucky slowly get his memories back, but they have never told each other their biggest secret: their fellings for each other.

Steve is pining after Bucky. Bucky hasn't noticed or reciprocated. Or has he? Lots of drama and a shared bed in Mexico.
