I present to you my next RWBY Male Reader Insert featuring Yang Xiao Long herself! Anyway, as usual this was a lot of fun to write since Yang is a fun character in general, however as I was writing it I found a few similarities between the Reader's character and Yang, namely with their weapons. So what did I do you ask? Why unlock Tooth & Nail's second form of course! Thus, Dust Control Mode was born. To compare it to your base mode, Dust Weapon Mode, which was primarily melee with a short range for projectiles, Dust Control Mode has a much longer range and frees up your movements in battle to allow you to tap into the Dust to a more raw degree. It also switches up your fighting style as well: With Dust Weapon Mode, the Reader uses a boxing/kickboxing combination much like Yang, but in Dust Control Mode you use a combination of Tai Chi for defense and Wing Chun for offense. My next RWBY x Male Reader, starring the one and only Ice Queen herself, Weiss Schnee. Decided to go the "long-lost childhood friend" route with this one, it always fit the best with Weiss to me. Also, we meet the Dust Assassin, my next White Fang Alpha. I have to admit, one of the trickier parts of writing these is creating personalities for these BBG's (Big Bad Guys) but I've made it work so far. For example, the Weapon Master thought himself as the absolute best, a bit of a superiority complex. The Grimm Tamer had a Loki-like feel to him in my head, taking any opportunity that presented itself no matter how underhanded, and the Dust Assassin loves making his target squirm; the death is quick in the end but not without making them suffer.
