When Bo Bishop was a kid, his grandaddy always told him about a monster that lived in the swamp nearby. Bo never would've admitted it, but he believed every word. Now he's all grown up, on his own, and about to come back to the swamp for the first time in nearly ten years. He's old enough to know better now. But the swamp has this way of reminding you why you used to fear it. Cover by carolina cruz Chapter header image by the_black_stevonnie on instagram

Prince Bridger hates his name... and the plans his parents have for him. As the fifth son he has only one duty: to marry well. But his parent's choice for bride is a girl whose family line leads back to piracy and the devastating Decade's War. Bridger retaliates by boycotting the marriage and borrowing one of his father's ships to find his own path, following the tale of a sleeping princess with gold to spare. His pirate bride chases after him, for a woman spurned is a dangerous thing. As he avoids cutthroats, sea monsters, and other dangers, Bridger is left to wonder if the lure of a sleeping princess is worth every obstacle he faces. When one sets out for adventure, a bit of peace and quiet is sometimes appreciated.

Lazarus Stork had a rather unhealthy fondness for food... Thus begins this somewhat disappointing tale of love and muffins (and love of muffins). This story does not have a particularly innovative name, nor does it have any "traditional" Sleepy Hollow themes (such as decapitation), and I'm very sorry for that. It is not all that exciting, if one is used to exciting elements in Sleepy Hollow adaptations (such as decapitation), but what it lacks in excitement, it makes up for in... Muffins. So go ahead and pick up this muffin of a story and read to your heart's discontent. I'd warn you that you should never read anything I've written, but it looks like I'm already too late. ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* ******* This story is an entry in the #OnceUponNow contest. The voting period is between June 14 and June 20-something. (Of course I don't know all the details. That would seem too desperate.) I would greatly appreciate votes (obviously) but should you decide that this story is not worth a click, you shall remain perfectly safe because I cannot threaten to set my iguanas on you, due to the nature of the contest.
