What have these scientists created in their lab?

Marauders era. Harry Potter fanfic. Severus Snape and James Potter make a bet to see who ends up with Lily Evens. This bet takes them to the future. (During some of the events of the Cursed Child​...So some spoilers.) Disclaimer: I don't own the Harry Potter books or the image used for the cover.
