Lance loved talking. It was part of who he was, and his voice was his was everything. That is, until it's taken away from him. A mission gone wrong and one Druid spell later, he is forced into silence. Now, Lance must deal with trying to communicate with the others, and to try not to self destruct from all the loneliness and pain of not talking. And, to find out... Lance was the class clown back in school. His crooked grin full of gaps often brought a smile to his friend's faces. Seeing everyone else smile made him happy. Lance was the shameless flirt in the Garrison. It made the girls laugh at his failed attempts, and the boys chuckle at his ridiculousness. Lance has been training every night in secret; he believes he isn't good enough to be a paladin of Voltron. What happens when he injures himself and has to wait for someone to find him? Lance has a crush on Keith, maybe Keith can help him more than he thought, or was Keith the reason all of this started in the first place? Possible epilogue if anyone likes this. How could someone live in a world where everyone has a mark that explains their personalities but yours is just... wrong. That's how Lance lives everyday. He has the mark of Meaning, a mark that shows that he knows what he wants to do and enjoys his life. A mark that shows that he will always be there for others, helping them. A mark that... doesn't represent him. But, he didn't want to burden anyone with the idea that he was unhappy, so he hides behind his happy little mask, not letting anyone know of his struggle. But Keith, a kid that Lance meets while they were in the Garrison and became friends, and rivals, with, notices that... the mark doesn't match. That is one of his traits, perception. Will Keith be able to really do anything about it? Or will he just let his friend live out his life as a sad, misread hologram of the person that is really there?
