Adrien i Marinette poznali się podczas jednego z pokazów mody: on pomagał ojcu-organizatorowi całego wydarzenia, a ona zastępowała jedną z modelek, która miała wypadek samochodowy. Od tego czasu, jakby za sprawą magicznej siły, nastolatków połączyła nić przyjaźni, silniejszej od jakichkolwiek rodzinnych więzi.
