What if the dragonets escaped before the alien invasion? For over a year scientists have been kidnapping and transforming people into small winged creatures called dragonets. The scientists keep them caged in a lab with not a glimpse of the outside world, unaware that the dragonets retain their human minds and memories. Fear of the scientists dulls most hope for escape, but as new dragonets hatch at a steadily increasing rate and changes are made to the program, pressure rises to make a decision, until they must either choose to escape or doom themselves and all those who come after.
