at night you told me to look at the stars and i did. and you said count them you said that's how much you loved me. but when the sun came up and the morning entered i tried counting the stars but they weren't there. in ode to heartbreak and to all the nights where all i would do is cry. Complete!!

*Trigger warnings* Highest ranking: #12 (August 5, 2018) I started writing poetry as a way to express my feelings and expressions in a healthy way. Poetry was one of the first healthy coping mechanisms I found, and for me, it helps so much. Writing and art has always provided a release and I love sharing it with people. My inspirations to start writing poems come from Savannah Brown, Robert Frost, and Edgar Allen Poe Cover made by the amazing @AuthorClarke!!

My readers are the witnesses to these jumbled thoughts that crash and collide in my head, that my fingers from the letters to words that work their way into sentences that become stories and tales for your brain to pull apart into sentences and words and simple thoughts that will float around in your mind as well.
