Introduction:
I too, just like Miss Lang Leav also thought of memories as fragments. A collection of shattered pieces of sweet and bitter moments of the past. Moments you more likely wanted to remember, or even tried to bury at all costs, and pretended it never existed. It has always been a combination of happiness and terror. It seeped through your defense mechanisms and crumbled it promptly. When you think you are through with its viciousness, it'll come to you like a violent screenplay of old movie films. It'll wander, drift, and torn you apart. Overwhelmed with its strange emptiness and nostalgy as then dissipated tragically.
Most of us often chose to reminisce only the pleasant occasions. Recollecting undesirable events is like opening a flesh wound, resurfacing the old pain, and feeling it all, once again. It could be the root of felicity, as though as the source of affliction. It is a link that connects our present and past lives that we keep on separating.
I hope you can still find goodness in every heartache that has changed you to the way you are now today. Some of the words or phrases will make you bleed as I did, however I hope with this book you may feel seen and heard from all the silent battles that have been weighing you. You can bleed as deep as your pain, and you can take as much time as you needed to heal.
