Fourteen year old Sybbie Branson goes back to Downton for the first time since she left with her father to go to Boston. This is my first Fanfiction, so I would be grateful for any feedback! Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters, All rights go to Julian Fellowes. I created the character of Sybbie based on my own interpretations of Sybil and of the young Sybbie.

Downton Abbey ended in 1926, but what happened after that, what happened, say, 30 years later? Beginning with a fire which destroys the abbey, this Fanfiction includes a few of the characters from the series, such as George and Sybbie, and a whole host of new ones, such as Laura the Housemaid, Timothy the Butler, and Mary and Matthew, siblings, and heirs to the estate. I would recommend you read Matthew's Lover before you read Downton 1956 as some of the same characters appear in this book as main characters, and it is better if you know their background.

In a world where the entail was smashed, the war makes rather a rebel out of Lady Mary Crawley. She fights for her title, but then somehow, ends up fighting for the chauffeur.

Sybil and Tom run off to Dublin after the scene in the sitting room. 15 yers later, Sybil's daughter and son meet Mary's son, not knowing they are cousins.
