I sat staring outside my window as the moon shone bright, illuminating my face. I closed my eyes just soaking it in. There was howling in the distance. I smiled at the sound, it was always relaxing for me. I lived right next to a forest which was full of wolves. Strangely enough, none of them ever wondered to the outer edges. I sighed crawling off the bench by my window and shuffling back to my bed. I had to get some sleep before tomorrow. I was supposed to be celebrating my 18th birthday. I sighed lying down and snuggling under the covers. I heard one more howl and I smiled, dropping into the comforting arms of sleep.
