"It's happening again, Aidan. We didn't stop it, after all." As an elemental, Aidan Brook holds the power of water at her fingertips. A descendant of the earth's oldest magic, she can cause tides to ebb and flow, put out house fires without calling 911, and give anyone who's annoying her an impromptu shower. But even her magic has its limits. After it fails her one terrible night, she hides from the world and everyone she once loved, trying to escape the memories that haunt her. Ten years later, her exile is brought to an abrupt end when her former best friend appears on her front porch. An elemental killer is once again murdering her friends, and she must return to the scene of her own crimes. Lake Tahoe proves more than she bargained for. Between a sadistic killer, some clever FBI agents, an annoyingly attractive landlord, and way too many new roommates, she has a pretty full plate. Add in a past she's desperate to escape and her own uncontrollable powers, and Aidan Brook is having a very, very bad month.

Aria Grimm has ferried souls from the physical world to their doors longer than she can remember. A spot has finally opened up in the higher ranks, and if she gets it, that means her role as Bridge would be over. Playing it safe, Aria follows the three rules of being a Bridge, sticking to them closely: 1. Go to the dying and deceased and help the souls cross in a timely manner 2. Only touch the soul 3. No exceptions. Death set the rules in the beginning, and it's Death's workers that continue to enforce them, leaving the boss to do what it does... Aria accidentally breaks one of the three rules when she's called to the side of seven-year-old Chanse Becklan who's dying of cancer. She saves his soul, imprinting the mark of the Bridge on his skin, but at what cost to her? She meets Death for the first time, but not under good circumstances. Death places her on probation for the span of ten human years, giving Aria time to prove she's worthy of her job as Bridge and more. During her probation time, she learns more about Chanse, feeling that it's her responsibility to watch over him, and monitor what happens with the mark he now has. Chanse looks up to Aria, and when the ten years are up, she's left standing in front of Death once again, but this time the stakes are higher. Not only is her fate is in Death's hands, but so is Chanse's. cover by @musesinspire

This is the third story in the series! And this description could contain some spoilers. I suggest you go back and read Shadow's Edge and Between Shadows if you have not already. Everything seems to have settled down in the Magical Realm following Zander's death. Trixle has transitioned into her role on the High Council, and now the Realm has something new in mind for Mara. The witches are finally coming together and most are looking to the representative of their people, but there are a select few who have different plans. By now, Mara and her friends have learned to be prepared. Something else could always be waiting for them around the corner. Marx and Trixle both know the story, it's been passed down for generations. The bedtime story to scare the kids. The story to keep them in line, to strike fear in them if they ever deviate from their ideals. It's about the Realm's own personal boogie man. But what happens when those stories have some truth to them? What if the boogie man is real? Find out in Beyond the Shadows

DO NOT READ UNLESS you have read Shadow's Edge. Description contains spoilers. Seriously... Go back and read Shadow's Edge first... I mean it. Mara and her friends have returned for another year at Shadow's Edge, only some things have changed. Mara is now the witch representative on the High Council, and she has learned that her friend Marx is actually her mate. But after the betrayal from Zander, Mara still has issues letting Marx in. Mara has spent the past summer with Trixle and her family in the Fae Kingdom, and in that time she has learned more about the Magical Realm than she ever thought possible, and her powers have grown significantly. Things for Mara Crowland are definitely starting to look up. That is until they start to slide back down. The High Council has learned of a threat to the organization as well as the rest of their world. Will Mara be able to help the Council in ridding their world of the threat, or will the Council fall and ultimately bring on the destruction of the Magical Realm? I do not own the image for the cover!

In the world of magic there are only two options: learn control, or risk becoming the one thing everyone fears. On the anniversary of her parents' death Mara Collins must face more than her own grief; she must face a hidden world. When a series of accidents over the past eleven years leads to her discovery of witches and magic, Mara must make the decision to leave her life behind in order to hone her new abilities or stay and risk the chance that her powers could rage out of control. When people discover Mara is a descendant of one of the most powerful witches in history, they start to believe Mara will follow in her ancestor's footsteps. No pressure, right? Not everyone is excited to hear of Mara's potential power, and some even want to stop her. With a Fae for a roommate, a witch for a mentor, and a Werewolf Prince for a friend everything seems to be looking up. But when friends turn to enemies, who can Mara go to for help? who can she trust? Will she be able to control her powers before they turn her into the one thing everyone fears?
