Eve had a secret when she left an ass called Daryl Dixon: she was pregnant with his child. She kept Baelee a secret, and raised the bright, blue eyed girl on her own. When the dead started to walk she and her daughter were saved by a kindly stranger, Lucas, who'd set up a camp in a wealthy gated community. What will happen when she is forced to face the father of her child six years later with their daughter at her side? This takes place a few months after they are forced out of Hershel's farm. And, as always, I do not own any of the original characters. All original characters and plots belong to AMC's The Walking Dead and all their wonderful writers.

Following closely the third season of the series, this story reveals the life of a fifteen year old survivor, Quinn, and her unusually close, but platonic, relationship with Merle Dixon as they survive the apocalypse together. Having lost her family in the first few weeks of the outbreak, Quinn is no stranger to the horrors this new world brings. The only silver lining was having Merle Dixon find her on the precipice of death and nurse her back to health. Because of that, Quinn has irrevocably bonded with the man on a deep level. Perhaps she is too deeply entwined in his life, too blind to what he has done, and what he is capable of. Perhaps she doesn't know the true Merle Dixon. Nevertheless, she will follow the older man to hell and back, and that truth will be tested in the time to come. Flashbacks are in italic. The Walking Dead does not belong to me, and all characters and dialogue belong to them. Chapters follow (for the most part) the plot from the episode, and some dialogue is taken directly from the show. Once again, all credit belongs to AMC's The Walking Dead, all that belongs to me are my original ideas and my character.
