Mula sa pamilya ng historians at archaeologists, lumaki si Cyrene na may malawak na kaalaman sa kasaysayan. Ngunit sa hindi inaasang pagkakataon ay napunta siya sa panahong hindi puspusang naibahagi o naitala sa mga aklat tungkol sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, at nakilala ang isang tanyag na ngalan sa mga alamat -- si Prinsesa Urduja. Sa bilis ng mga pangyayari ay natagpuan na lamang niya ang kanyang sarili bilang punong babaylan ng nayong pinamumunuan ng prinsesa. At sa kanilang mga kamay nakasalalay ang muling paghahabi ng kasaysayang minsan nang nakalimutan.
