Dear Violet, I miss you... It's only been a week or two while you've been gone but I miss more than I think I ever have before. To be honest I thought I was getting better, I really and truly did. I believed I was getting over you and your sweet smile and beautiful big pale blue eyes... But I guess it's evident that I'm not right? Maybe one day I'll actually send these to you but I doubt it. I mean what would you think if the girl you've been friends with since grade eight, the girl you've shared a bed with at sleepovers and cried with in your most vulnerable moments, told you she was in love with you? (the part fiction part fact short love story that I can't get out of my head. In a way I hope you never see this but I also hope that you do.) She was different. She didn’t fit in with the rest of us with her pale white skin that made her appearance more pronounce and eerily beautiful or those strange mismatched eyes of hers that seemed as if it seen too much. Each time I saw her, she was often alone either sitting on the bench underneath the weeping willow tree reading a book or always around that petite girl who seemed fragile next to her. I don’t know what is it with this particular girl who never once sported a smile but always with that hard expression that intrigued me. Mesmerized with the way she moved stealthily through the halls, I knew this little fascination I had of her was going to get me into serious deep trouble. "Obviously you don't understand the agreement." She repeated after quickly composing herself. I rolled my eyes, but let her continue. "Where you go, I go. Where I go, you go." She told me sternly. Her thumbs grazed my cheeks and heat rose on my skin where she touched. I couldn't tell if this was just Sophia being caring or if she was maybe feeling more. My brain told me that this was all a friendly gesture, but my body and it's stupid hormones were telling me that it was something more. And your brain can never really overcome true instincts. I moved closer towards her, shrinking the already limited space between us. This time it was Sophia's turn to blush which only made my smile grow larger. All I could think about was her lips meeting mine. (a new and improved skmw xx)

(BOOK ONE of the FRAGILE HEARTS series) // (Short Story) "Tell me your three fears," she whispered, softly. Her voice was delicate like a caress almost making me close my eyes and wish for her to talk infinitely because I knew I could never grow tired of her voice. As we looked up at the night sky, the sounds of waves crashing and drunken laughter surrounded us, I couldn't help but feel like I finally belonged somewhere. I belonged laying just next to her listening to her beautiful laughter and her voice that spoke of many stories either involving the shenanigans we've done in the past or her college friends had done. I mulled over what my three fears could be yet couldn't help but feel the fear skimming along my spine as one fear stood out the most. One fear that may bring this friendship into a rocky edge. Just that thought made me close up; guarding myself from the world. "I'm afraid of spiders, heights, and..." Losing you, I thought to myself as I turned to look at her to meet those brown eyes that had brought me to my knees millions of times already staring back at me.
