*Selah's Pov* I flinched as the broken pieces fell to the floor.I tried to show no fear but he continuously came closer.My mouth became extremely dry.I tried to run out of the door again but he got there first. "Now now now Selah...We don't want anything to happen to you do we?" Steven was pulling back on my entire wrist and tears pooled in my eyes just from his grip. *Micah's Pov* "Your mother...She's....It's back," my father said through his tears as I put the phone to my ear. I hung up raced to the bathroom and threw it at the wall.He didn't have to explain what it was.I already knew.My mom said she was dying. Two people.Two separate dire situations. Will Micah and Selah's relationship be the only thing that remains in tact while everything else in their lives fall apart?

"Do you know what metal this knife is made of?" My breaths were coming out in ragged wheezes, sounding garbled as my windpipe fought around the blood in my mouth. "No, sir." "It's silver." Another round of tears sprung loose from my eyes, and my hands curled into fists. How could I be so stupid?
