Anesthesia, or anaesthesia (from Greek ἀν-, an-, "without"; and αἴσθησις, aisthēsis, "sensation"),[1] is a temporary state consisting of unconsciousness, loss of memory, lack of pain, and muscle relaxation. After the loss of her parents, Ellen Marshals submits herself to a scientific research team, in which she will be unconscious for a period of time only to be then transferred to a room where she and a person of the exact opposite personality will be held for thirty days. After the test is completed, both subjects are to be paid and everything goes back to normal. But alas, things are never as they seem.
