This story is about Saroja and Vedant, two individuals from diverse backgrounds, who meet one midnight. And then their lives change ... forever! This is a short story based on the pairing of Prabhas and Anushka. They represent Vedant and Saroja. No other characters have any face whatsoever. Saudade is actually a Portuguese word, which basically means ... a deep, nostalgic and melancholic longing for something or someone ... The couple drift apart eventually. Do read the story to find out if Fate plays a role in guiding them back to each other? Thanks in advance to all readers !

"A fourteen year old is convicted of murdering her uncle, Mr. Vikram Khandelwal." Naina, Naina Prabhoo had made headlines when she was a quite, lonely fourteen year old girl. Her life was in the juvenile, slogging and fighting her inner demons who didn't let her live her life. Released at 18, rearrested for drug smuggling, such was the bitterness that life made her taste. Raped, beaten, abused both emotionally and physically, Naina knows not what the future has in store for her. Her past as dark as hell haunts her during broad daylight and at nights when she closes her eyes for a snooze. ****************************************** Snippet She rubbed her eyes and sat up on the bed. A dark figure stood, leaning against the framework of the window. The white curtains flew in two different directions. "Hello baby doll!" An evil smirk played over the silhouette lips of the man who turned his face towards Sameera who was now wide awake. She peered into the darkness to try to see the mans face in vain. The moonlight outlined his sharp features, which stood like needles in the dark. "Don't you remember me my baby doll!" he chuckled, taking a step towards her. Sameera tried to scream aloud for help but her voice was stuck in the deepest trenches if her throat. She tried to move but her body remained immobilised. She soon found herself lying flat on her back and being pressed against the mattress by the man. She gasped seeing his face, "Vikram maama!" Sameera, Naina, Ambika or Nandini she knew not who she was. ©2017 CREATIVE _WRITER All Rights Reserved Began on: 3rd December 2017

Along with Kashibai Peshwe this story is dedicated to all women who remained gracious in the face of heartbreak! The Peshwa wife, who was destined to live in the shadow of her husband Bajirao's achievements and valour, remained a faithful and stoic consort. She had no choice but to remain confined to the domestic arena which was presided over by her mother-in-law Radhabai while her husband expanded the Maratha Empire. There was public outrage over the growing influence of Mastani on Peshwa Bajirao and his decision-making. Kashibai had to endure her husband's growing neglect due to his obsession for Mastani. While he indulged in hedonistic pleasure with his lover Kashibai was left to face the ire of his mother and the orthodox Brahmin society of the time. Historians and playwrights have sung hosannas to the tragic Bajirao-Mastani romance, depicting it in novels, plays and films. None of them bothered to do justice to the suffering of his wife Kashi, instead wrongly accusing her of having participated in the torment of the lovers. Even the recent Bollywood film on the subject failed to highlight how Kashi nurtured and raised her stepson Samsher Bahadur after the demise of Bajirao-Mastani. This piece of work is an endeavour to set the record straight and give Kashibai Peshwe her due.
