I read this fanfic once and liked the idea. It's been a while since I read it and I cant find it any more to give the author credit but I thought I'd give it a shot. In this story everybody magically gets the name of their soulmate tattooed on their as soon as they meet them. When their soulmate dies the name turns black. It has been 7 years to the date since the fall of Belthan. The lost prince is currently hiding in Camelot as Arthur's manservant. Merlin was able to flee all those years ago after his uncles betrayal and he thinks Belthan is all but lost. That is until five of his previous knightly friends shows at Camelot with a plea for help. They need the assistance of Camelot to regain the kingdom, but when the knights discover their lost prince so among the Camelot group, will Merlin choose to reveal his identity to his friends and join the rebellion, or join the background.
