This is the sequel to Unattainable, so read that first if you haven't already. War has ripped two previously happy kingdoms apart. One is now in ruin, owned by the other, which has grown prosperous and more tolerant under it's new king, Will Solace. He is a benevolent ruler with an beautiful wife and a strong kingdom. His life seems perfect. Nico Di Angelo is still a fugitive. Him and his friends stay far away from others, only approaching civilisation when necessary. When they find themselves in Will's kingdom and are attacked, the only logical plan anyone can think up is to take the king is taken hostage. In hindsight, it's probably not a good idea to end up stuck with your worst enemy. Especially one who still loves you.

Nico di Angelo, Prince of Malavita, has known his whole life he was going to have to marry the Princess of Caray. For most of his childhood, she was just a distant fact. He was going to marry her and that was that. The Prince, however, becomes uncomfortable with the idea as he gets older and realizes he isn't into women at all. When it is announced that the Princess and her Father are coming to Malavita, Nico's not so distant future crashes in on him and he finally realizes he's getting married. To a woman of all people. Should he go along with it and live his life in a loveless marriage or should he resist and marry the man of his dreams?

Nico di Angelo used to be happy. But that was eight years before his life was ruined. Eight years before he was kidnapped. Eight years since he wasn't afraid. Will Solace somehow gets tangled into Nico's life. He eagerly welcomes Nico as his friend, shows him how wonderful the world can be, and that some people are there for important reasons. Will teaches him to be brave. WARNINGS: This contains many forms of abuse, violence, and sexual assault. There is also a suicide in one of the later chapters (But the character isn't Nico, Will, Reyna, or any of the seven. I don't want to say exactly who, because I don't want to spoil it). Nico di Angelo is a forensic pathologist, well, training to be one. He spends his days examining dead bodies and learning how they died. Pretty cool, right? Will Solace is training to be a nurse. His goal is to prevent as many bodies from needing to be examined as possible. He wanted to save people. When these two move in together, many adventures follow, because honestly, what else can you expect when two complete opposites try to coexist? As time goes on they learn that maybe they aren't so different after all. Characters belong to Rick Riordan, but the plot and all that belong to me. Will always knew he was different. He saw things no one ever saw. People thought he was crazy or blind or both. Actually it's society that's blind. He never let them bother him. Will was a bright person who lived to help others. Will was a mortal who could see through the mist. When he meets Nico, he finally gets a Chance to see and be in the life he has been wondering about. Nico always believed that he belonged far away from society. He made friends with ghosts, had a zombie chauffeur, and was an awkward outcast in the mortal world. Sure many people have tried reaching out to him, but he never really belonged. He just ran down to the underworld. When his godly father finally forces him to attend mortal school for running away from Both camps, he meets Will, his bright classmate who for some reason won't leave him alone. He hates it! Or does he?

As royalty, Will Solace had his life planned out the day he was born. His parents control everything he does, including who he has to marry. They've picked a girl named Bianca Di Angelo, who is a princess from an ally kingdom. Their marriage will seal an alliance which will help both kingdoms. Since they've never met each other, their parents arrange for Bianca to stay at the castle for a while. She brings her brother Nico along with her, to keep her company. The marriage doesn't go exactly as planned... Will takes one look at the couple and falls in love... With Nico. Meanwhile, Bianca sets her sights on a maid named Thalia... ~~~ Trigger warnings: homophobia, swearing and major character deaths. Mortal AU Completed!! I'm in the process of rewriting this story because this turned out really badly in my opinion so be aware of that while you read :). Nico di Angelo is a sophomore in highschool, he doesn't have many friends and talking isn't one of his strong suits. His routine life of staying indoors and being quiet is interrupted by something, well, someone. Will Solace. This will end up having some language, self harm, self hatred, homophobia, and some other heavy subjects so please be aware. Art credit- Cherryandsisters
