chester finally had freedom. after five years in a ward, he managed to convince his psychologist that he was no longer a threat to himself. he meets a stranger in the mall, going by the name of mike, on the day of his release. after colliding with him at the entrance to the music store when the latter was in a rush to escape a large crowd in which chester assumed it was a fight, mike leaves with the elder's address and the intent to buy him a new phone after the stranger's six-year-old phone shattered at the very second it touched the floor. the issue is, he felt attracted to the elder after the whole endeavour, and after turning up to his house without an invite, mike finds chester beaten and bruised and the culprit was his very own father. ★ bennoda with benson side ★

This is the story of the events leading up to Mike and Chester realizing they are in love with each other. Part Two of Confession Series. Beginning during Minutes to Midnight and following the ten years until Confession starts during One More Light.

Linkin Park completes their first album, Hybrid Theory, and returns back from tour. Except, Chester begins to act differently once they start trying to write their next album. While he's going down a spiral of personal drama, Mike's finding himself falling for Chester more and more with everyday and begins to notice his dismay. Uncovering the truth is only the beginning of the end. Mentions of sexual abuse. Sorry I haven't finished Deadpan yet, but I ran into a writer's block and came out of it with this story in mind. It's going to be pretty short, but I can actually finish this one instead of leaving it incomplete.

Chester and Mike are the perfect couple, they've got a happy family and they both have a dream job. Until Mike keeps finding weird notes. Is it just a prank? Or something far more dangerous.
