I unlocked the chain on the door on the balloon once we landed. He stepped out and looked at me. He memorised my every feature as if his life depended on it, and I did the same to him. I made sure to remember the little scar on his nose and the wrinkle in his forehead. I knew the freckle on his neck and the swift auburn of his hair. I didn’t know if he was single, as he didn’t know if I was. I wasn’t even sure if his name was really Sebastian. I did know that I would never forget today. ϟ Michelle Heights is a seventeen-year-old hot air balloonist. She had been fascinated by the colours and sights since she was little and has been working at Blue Skies Balloons’ since she was fifteen. But after an encounter with a stranger one thousand feet above the ground, Michelle is not so sure about what she’s always known. And when she meets that stranger again, will he remember her? - And will she be disappointed if he does? [cover by @taceturnity]

❝Love is banned. Affection is forbidden. Lust is prohibited. In a world where relationships are decided by the government, maybe the only way to keep Nora and Ryan's love alive is to write letters. Between them both, they wrote thirty-nine letters. The fortieth letter went unanswered.❞ // ©ThatReeader 2015. All Rights Reserved.

There in those city lights, there was no her and there was no him. There was just everything and nothing and the spaces in between, like flickering lights against a never-ending, black sky. There in those city lights, there was no love and there was no hate. There was just listening and talking and understanding every single thing, like the 'ready, stop, go' of car-chasers and dream-makers. There in those city lights, there was no sadness and there was no happiness. There was just candid smiles and wasted tears and bottom lips chewed off, like the overflowing boulevard of things unseen. There in those city lights, there was no lady and there was no man. There was just a boy and a girl, who promised to fall in love, not with each other, but in those city lights.
