Vladislav Zakerov was born in Moscow, Russia and is the son of Rostislav and Abigail Zakerov. Zakerov was undervalued as a high school hockey player as he and his family move to the United States for Vladislav's senior year because of what the media is describing as unfamiliarity with Zakerov's game. Zakerov finished his high school career as a three star recruit and will have a huge decision to make in the coming weeks. Will Vladislav play college hockey or try his hand at the National Hockey League?

The US Men's National Team for men's hockey has been waiting to wear gold medals since 1980. American Head Coach Mike Sullivan was allotted to have NHL players on his team for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy. The only question of Coach Sullivan's mind was "Do you believe in miracles?" The Colgate Raiders had their season ended by the St. Lawrence Saints in the ECAC Hockey semifinals. That said, there were only four teams in ECAC Hockey competition that season so there might be a bit of debate over the validity of the St. Lawrence Whitelaw Cup championship. Paul McAvoy as well as Josh McKechney return to the campus of Colgate University but now, it's Lake Placid or bust! So, can Colgate get through the season and get to Lake Placid? Cornell senior goaltender Ian Shane has been absolutely phenomenal in his entire Cornell career and will look to continue his championship winning career in his final tour of duty here in Ithaca! Sullivan Mack will look to put the puck at an elite level for a Cornell team looking for offense after the departure of some other Red Stars over the years! The Colgate men's hockey team had their season ended by the Quinnipiac Bobcats in Lake Placid to end the Colgate career of senior goalie Mitch Benson. Speaking of goaltending, junior goaltender Carter Gylander is back from injury and he'll look to lead Colgate to the ECAC Hockey Championship weekend like Benson did a season ago! Junior winger Ross Mitton is back on Colgate's campus with the same objective as Carter Gylander! So, can Colgate return to Lake Placid to compete for a championship?
