Welcome to Hamilton, New York where these have drastically changed in the Colgate men's hockey circles! Instead of Mike Harder leading the Hamiltonians, it is Alex Evin leading the Raiders for the second season of his tenure! Coach Evin said "let's build on this" at the media availability before the 2034-35 college hockey season and must now, back up those words with a challenging schedule once again! Welcome to Hamilton, New York where college hockey reigns supreme under head coach Don Vaughan. Colgate University men's hockey heads into the 2012-13 college hockey season with a stacked recruiting class including one of my favorite Raiders ever who you'll meet in due time. Coach Vaughan wants to make the NCAA Tournament and win the ECAC Hockey Championship for the first time in his legendary tenure. The Colgate men's hockey team had their season ended by the Quinnipiac Bobcats in Lake Placid to end the Colgate career of senior goalie Mitch Benson. Speaking of goaltending, junior goaltender Carter Gylander is back from injury and he'll look to lead Colgate to the ECAC Hockey Championship weekend like Benson did a season ago! Junior winger Ross Mitton is back on Colgate's campus with the same objective as Carter Gylander! So, can Colgate return to Lake Placid to compete for a championship?

For years, Colgate men's hockey fans have heard all the trash talk from Cornell and Clarkson fans about not having a national championship in their possession. Colgate men's hockey has eight newcomers to the roster hoping to bring Colgate a resemblance of hope. So, can Colgate have their best season in a long time?

For the past two seasons, ECAC Hockey has belonged to the Union College Dutchmen and here in 2013-14, they'll look to make it three seasons in a row! Shayne Gostisbehere looks to get Union to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in about nine months with a strong team performance this season! So, can Union do something special this season? The last time we saw Zach, he was kicking cancer's butt but now, this tall man is graduating from high school and wants to play hockey at the next level as he is a three time state champion in boy's varsity hockey. Zach's full name is Zachary Lamont and he'll look to make a difference on a college hockey team someday soon. So, will Lamont be able to accomplish his college hockey dreams? The Colgate Raiders had their season ended by the Cornell Big Red in the second round of the ECAC Hockey Tournament. Simon Labelle comes back to Colgate to lead the Colgate offense this season as the Raiders just lost their best player to graduation. Andrew Takacs will be back in a suddenly packed goaltending room hoping to continue being the starter for the rest of his Colgate career! So, can Colgate take down Cornell? Colgate Raiders hockey in the early 2000s was a spectacle to behold. Starr Rink was always packed and I wasn't even born when the season that we're discussing in this story began!
