Velvet Monroe was a good girl. Nothing ever happened to her. She was raised in a very religious family, went to church every week, involved in everything at school and some say that she doesn't have a mean bones in her body. When people describe her, everyone notes her innocent beauty. Then one November day it happened. The worst thing that could ever happen to her. She was attacked on her way home from her friend's house. That led to her getting pregnant. Afterwards, her parents aren't able to look at her, and since it's against their religion to suggest abortion, they send her away to live with her aunt. Five states away. This is Velvet's story about trauma, loss, friendships, buried family secrets, love, and finding yourself amongst the challenges thrown at you. FINALLY A NEW CHAPTER!!!!!!!!!
