Kellin Quinn attends a college just far away from home to escape the grasp his step father has on him. He befriends his new roommate, Vic Fuentes, a hand washing enthusiast that is stuck on trying to remember his own past. When Kellin decides to help him recover his forgotten childhood they stumble together into a turmoil of unexpected memories and events they never imagined. A sassy, cross-dressing boy by the name of Kellin Quinn is forced to move with his new step dad and his mum to a neighborhood in the ghetto from his beloved mansion in Beverly Hills. Dropping all of the luxury, Kellin has to learn how to live in a rather poor community. His family isn't struggling with money whatsoever, but they think Kellin needs to face the real world. Kellin's new neighbor, Vic Fuentes thinks the princess is appealing but also a brat.
