This is where shadows come to play out their fantasies. What happens here stays buried in my memory.

Stealing? Plotting? Fighting? Fairly normal for Key. Questing with princes, fighting eternal evil, and stirring an ancient magic that could destroy the world? Not so much... While the rich men rest on piles of gold and their well-to-do wives dance around into pretty lace dresses, those who aren't nearly as fortunate are left to the streets. Key, always fascinated with stories of honorable heroes she lived for as a child, tries to help out as many as these people as she can. Nonetheless, she is a thief, an a notorious one at that. No one knows her real name, as she goes by many, but there's one unanimous nickname that has stuck with her. Lady Thief. She's not your typical lady. She's not elegant, charming, endearing, patient, or even extremely friendly. One day our Lady Thief has an unfortunate run in with some royalty, and, somehow, tangled in a web of lies, she's managed to get herself sucked into following King Cavalierre's two sons in a political campaign, so they can win the trust of their people. Somewhere along the way, she ends up on a quest that could stir up an ancient magic, which threatens to rip the new world- and her heart- apart at the seams. Things have just gotten complicated for our Lady Thief.

Hang on, it's going to be one hell of a ride... [THIS IS A ROUGH DRAFT OF A VERY OLD STORY! IT IS NOT GOOD! AN UPDATED, EDITTED VERSION WILL BE POATED SOON] Due to her parents' death, Christian Wells, and her siblings, are left in the care of a semi-distant uncle and aunt who live halfway across the country. She's not thrilled with being shipped from sunny Arizona to a tiny, practically non-existent, town in New York, where the weather is questionable, at best. She's also not thrilled with all of the things that it entails: a new school full of strangers, a painfully stereotypical school mean girl, boring teachers teaching things she never bothered to learn the first time, and somehow trying to make friends so she doesn't spend her high school career alone. Little does she know, she's in for worse. Somehow, she has a run in with maniacal scientists and wakes up one morning with wings. Instantly, Chris, and the few friends she's managed to pick up along the way, are sucked into a plot none of them quite understand. They aren't the only ones though. The scientific mutants, who have labeled themselves either 'angel' or 'demon', are quickly spiraling out of the control of their megalomaniacal creators. Which raises the question: why were they given these mutations in the first place?
