Arthur Curry, Aquaman and his wife Mera took in the young girl. Mera then became her teacher in Atlantean Sorcery. When Mera is unable to help Jasmine with her studies, Tula was the one to step in. She would tell Jasmine the stories of her good friend Kaldur'ahm and that one day she hoped to she would get to meet him as well. But after Tula's death, that time had to wait. Now, she's able to ask the big question she's been meaning to ask since Tula's death, will Jasmine be able to become the new Aquagirl?
