Josephine, Joey to her friends, has always known what she wants out of life. She wants to produce music and wants to help struggling up and coming musicians with talent get to the top. She has only one rule when it comes to the musicians, never fraternize, don't get too friendly, and absolutely never date a musician. When a new band, Extended Stoplight, shows up and catches her attention, what will happen?

Delany and Finn -- a poet and a rocker were the perfect pair. She penned beautiful lyrics which he set to music until her parents ruined everything senior year by packing up and moving across the country--leaving Finn--and a huge piece of her heart in California. Five years later, Delany holds fond memories and often thinks of him and his band Stay Tuned, until charismatic Finn shows up at the club where she works and makes a plea for her to return to songwriting again. He explains that Starlight Records, one of the biggest labels in North America wants to sign his band on one condition: her.They want the same songwriter who worked on the demo tracks which Finn and Delany recorded in high school. No exceptions. No replacements. No compromises. Can Finn convince Delany to take a chance on a dream she thought she'd given up a long time ago?

It's always been the two of us since I remember, as Tom (my dad) left us when I was just a toddler. He never accepted mum's complete dedication to music and I think this is what caused them to break up. I'll never forgive him for giving up on us, and even more for not being there when mum fell ill. But he was too busy raising his new family I guess. And now that we have to live under the same roof, I feel like he’s no more than a stranger to me. Fortunately, I still have my music. No matter what happens around me, I know that I can always find refuge in music. It's hard to explain but as I sit at the piano the world hushes and my soul starts to sings. And I still have my Big Dream - to get into Julliard and become a great pianist as my Mum. The most famous conservatory in the world and New York City are waiting for me! I just have to nail an important audition that is just a few weeks away.. Fingers crossed!!
