Thranduil has been depressed ever since his wife, Almwen was killed long ago. And now, the only one who brings him comfort is his daughter Emarilia, because she looks so much like her mother. Though he can be hard on her sometimes, She still loves him with all her heart. Sadly he almost loses her a few times from the evils of her past, but Thranduil swears to protect her from all harm. Enmira is a half elven skin changer, that went through a lot in her early years. After an encounter with Gandalf, she sees the company that she needs to protect and the, King Under the Mountain, makes her skin crawl. The journey has barely begun and she's already having strange feelings for the King. She doesn't understand what this pull means and Thorin seems to be in the same boat. But unlike her, he actually knows what's going on and is doing his best to ignore it. But a skin changer only has one mate in their lifetime and it's rare for a Dwarf to find their One. So when that true love is found, it's dangerous to avoid it.

Tygr ((same pronunciation as Tiger)) is a skin-changer, though she is a rare breed of them. Not only is she very small, about the size of a hobbit. She has the ears and tail of a wolf showing and she can chance into different sizes of a wolf ((as is she could be a cute baby wolf or a large terrifying adult.)) Tygr is a good friend of Gandalf the grey, he comes to her asking to share in an adventure. Of course she agrees and goes to meet her fellow companions. Though when she meets a certain dwarf...she had an odd feeling in her chest.

Cassandra is a trained assassin, knight and a personal bodyguard to Lord Dain of the Iron Hills. What happens when she receives a letter from Dain's cousin Thorin Oakenshield asking for her to accompany himself and his company of dwarfs on their quest to reclaim their home, Erebor. However, the dangerous adventure that she expected didn't turn out the way she anticipated when love gets thrown in as well when she meets a certain young dwarf prince.
