I was too young to remember when the world finally fell. I grew up out here, living off the wilderness and content to survive the rest of my life in solace. Don't get me wrong, it was dangerous. It is dangerous for a woman to be alone out here. I never needed anyone. Until my little woodland paradise was torn down, and I was chased out of it, right into the arms of the three women I'd worked my hardest to avoid crossing paths with. The Savage Sisters. Aka: Sable Savage. Arielle Davenport. And Lucille Winter. Not related by blood, but bound by it all the same. Beautiful, terrible, and ferocious, they traversed the ruined cities like wriaths, cutting down all who oppose them. I knew I was a gonner the second I slammed into Sable's back, and ended up on my own half a second later. Yeah, buckle up, because this is fixing to be a wild ride. !! *LIMITED TIME ONLY* My steel-toed boots thumped against the side of the small cabin, dislodging thick chunks of snow and ice that had dug their way into the spiked soles. I pulled the hood of my cloak farther over my face, as if it would do anything to cover the shine of my hair, a tell-tale sign of who and what I was. Not that it mattered. I grasped the wrought iron handle just as a low slumbering growl echoed through my thoughts, and my lips turned up in response. The air was stuffy and stagnant in this run down tiny little inn, but the food smelled good, and they had ale. No one moved or so much as breathed as I stepped in, my boots echoing in my wake. My ears twitched, catching their low murmurs and my eyes snagged their fearful gazes. Did they know why I was here? Did they know I wasn't their savior? My lips curled, revealing sharp canines as I bared my teeth at the nosey onlookers, the fire slumbering inside me started to burn as one by one they found interest in their glasses. "What can I get you?" The barkeep murmured, a tremor to his tone. His hands shook as he cleaned an empty glass and tried very hard to avoid eye contact with me. Again that growl came, and when I finally met his eyes, I knew he saw my dragon looking back at him. He cleared his throat, sweat dripping down his forehead. "Stew is fine, and ale. I'll be needing a bed and bath too." I tossed the money on the counter, sliding into a seat and tugging my hood down, and around me, a collective inhale filled the room as I confirmed their suspicions. I am the lost princess of the kingdom of Tanelor, and I am here to claim all that was stolen from me. I am here to take back my kingdom. And on my dragon's back, we will conquer the world. BOOK ONE

"So." She mused, sliding one black nail across her lip in a sensual caress as she stared at me with eyes the color of molten gold. "You are the one they call Huntress." Disregarding the pain in my side from the most recent beating, I straightened my shoulders and stood tall, my chin jutting out in defiance. "Yes." "Mm." Those intriguing eyes watched me from her languid position on the throne. "But, you are not just a huntress, are you?" I allowed the predatory instincts I usually worked so hard to keep hidden, to surface, feeling the burning of my eyes and shifting of bones under my skin. A slow grin slid across my face as my beast stared back at her through my human skin. The Queen didn't react to my sudden change of character, instead choosing to lean forward in interest. "How fascinating." • Once, the world was ruled by humans and technology. They were governed by a president that made choices for all. Vampires, werewolves alike hid their existence from the humans for centuries, blending in as a whole. Now, they hid no more. States are now territories governed by kings and queens, humans are regarded and used for no more than their blood and body before they are discarded and forgotten. Werewolves and vampires were at war, and it was said that the wolves had all been but snuffed out, save for one. When Adira is captured while hunting outside her homeland, she is unexpectedly sold to the Queen in the North. Wolf blood is sacred, it is said to hold inexplainable powers, and as the only wolf-borne known to humans and vampires alike, Adira fears for her life. Thrown into a world governed by everything she's been trained to hate, Adira fights for her rightful place in the world, a seat at the Queen's side. But proving her worth won't be easy, the price for failure is her life.
