A retelling of the tales of Arthurian Legend from a Female Merlin's perspective. A young girl walks into Camelot and on day one arouses trouble, especially with our very own Prince Arthur who she hates but also must protect if magic is to return to Albion. Danger lurks on every corner and the shadow of evil would love nothing more than to snuff out the light. But it is up to Arthur and Merlin, two sides of the same coin and their friends to bring about the Time of Albion in accordance to the prophets, where magic runs free once more and good prevails over the wicked. And it may even bring Arthur and Merlin closer together than anyone even themselves could have even imagined. Expect most of your favorite characters from the actual legend and the TV show, and of of course some OC's both noble and roguish, angelic and devilish, and most of all expect danger, humor and a little bit of romance in every twist and turn. Merlin is having nightmares, uncontrollable nightmares that allow him no sleep. He finds himself only able to rest when sir Lancelot is with him. All Much to Arthur's concern. Story based mostly in Arthur's POV

Arthur and the knights follow Merlin all the way to lake Avalon after he sneaks out.

It's just an ordinary in Camelot…well as normal as things get around here. Arthur and Merlin are out on a hunting trip by themselves and all seems well…until they are ambushed by a group of Morgana's men. The duo are separated, Arthur just escaping, but Merlin being caught. They take him back to Morgana, where she proceeds to torture him by twisting his memories. Every happy moment, every sad moment, every moment ever spent between Arthur and Merlin is twisted in Merlin's mind, causing him to believe that Arthur wants him dead. Eager to see Arthur's reaction, she lets Merlin go, making it seem that he escaped. When a search patrol finds him stumbling, weak, in the Valley of the Fallen Kings they approach him delightedly, glad to see he's safe. But when they learn the truth will things ever be the same between Merlin and Arthur again, or will he fear Arthur forevermore?

While on a camping trip, Merlin was obviously exhausted as he'd been acting strange all day. As he falls asleep, Gwaine finds a small leather bound journal hidden away in the servants coat, which he soon learns is a journal. He reads a few to himself, then to the Knights. They all soon realize how sad and how seemingly alone Merlin believes he is. They all realize, just how little they know about Merlin. [Hint: The Knights and Arthur learn about Freya!]

MERLIN SPOILERS!!!!! *********************** **************************************************** If you hated the ending of Merlin as much as I did, read this! It begins in the last episode right before Merlin and Gaius split up. This is my opinion of how Merlin should have ended. NOTE: NOT A MERTHUR STORY.
