It started with the fracturing of a nation.
After the birth control ban went into effect, the leaders of our country thought they had mended the population crisis, but women aren't that easy to control. They stopped getting married, they chose to live alone, and they embraced careers over family.
Single men outnumbered husbands, and the crime rate skyrocketed. Mass shootings became a weekly occurrence. Violence exploded throughout the country. Societal unrest was the norm, and we teetered on the verge of another civil war.

The Emergency Reproductive Act of 2032.
Before we ever had a chance to plead our case, an order was signed, sealed, and executed. From sea to shining sea, politicians towered over gathered crowds, assuring the masses that a return to the 'Classic Family Model' was America's only saving grace.
The next day, the raids began.
Single, childless women were forcibly taken from their homes and transported to remote, government-controlled camps. Thousands of names were crossed off lists as trucks delivered them like cattle, trussed up and displayed as God-given gifts to men ready to force them into marriage and into bed. These women were tasked with the burden of inflating the dwindling population and relearning the age-old practices of submission and domesticity, all in the name of patriotism.
