She's been running away from hers. Dave has been in the game for quite a long time. He does what he can to survive and protect the people he has left in his life. The more he goes deep into the underground, he finds himself becoming less human. He's never found a reason to quit until now... Veronica or Roni has always been the one to take care of everyone else but herself. But due to recent events, she blames herself more than anything. Jayceon Terrell Taylor a.k.a Jay grew up in a dysfunctional home. He was constantly abused by his mother's various "suga daddies". At age 13 Jay, neglected had to look after his two younger siblings: Jadiel, 10 and Jaquan who was 7. Jay had no real father to be there for him. He had no one to answer his questions while growing up so being scared and battling with his siblings he decided to turn to the streets. Here he met his "brothers". A lot of people don't get as many opportunities at success & even friendship as Dave and Bernice did. David Brewster aka Dave East and Bernice Burgos were just 2 Harlem kids from the east side trying to make it. They were best friends..at one point at least. After a couple moves out of NY then back their friendship ended, but now as adults could they respark it? A reunited friendship will change them for the better.
