"If ever something was lost...Zuri Ayim was the one who could recover it." _____________________________________________________________ Twelve years ago, a meteorite fell among the seven city-states of Kiro, and birthed a new legend. They are called Celestials: normal people given supernatural abilities from the meteorite's impact. Eighteen-year-old Zuri Ayim received the ability to look into people's minds when the meteorite struck, and since then has used her power to make a business for herself, in the hopes of paying off her father's debt before it's too late. But Zuri's life changes quickly when the Queen herself asks Zuri to find something for her: a talented weaver who is said to stitch the future into his tapestries. With the help of four other Celestials, Zuri sets out on a lengthy journey to locate him. Except, complications soon arise when they discover that this man's power isn't so simple. That, and they're not the only ones looking for him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Updates every Saturday. As always, vote and comment if you enjoy!

"There is nothing for him here," he snarled, glaring at me. His eyes were filled with menace and void of restraint. His shadow grew larger, engulfing the room--swallowing my entire world. "A creature like him doesn't have a heart to love." ~ What happens when a villain, plagued with a violent desire to dissipate the good, develops the power to feel? What happens when the one thing that distances him from the rest of the world becomes the source of his humanity? What happens when villains begin to learn? Knowledge is power, and Slater has become one of the most powerful villains of all.

It's a fact that you can't help who you fall in love with. And for Rosaline Davenport and him, it definitely shouldn't have been each other. Because, sometimes, love stories have blood on them. [warning: this is the mother of all slow-burns] ••• ©literalight | All Rights Reserved

"No one came down here. No one but the loneliest girls and the most agonized boys. Not even the nuns thought to investigate the sounds of moans and cries like leery echoes in the middle of the night. We descended the steps to Hell in anticipation of what we might find, unsurprised when our iridescent faces met with the charming façades of skulls and corpses. We expected them there, patiently waiting for our feathered wings to grow stiff and tired, so that we might hang them on the hooks drilled into the walls and allow ourselves one last night of sin. Except it was never one last night. It was the accumulation of countless nights in an effort to escape an exhausted old thing called reality." (suggestions: read this book with a dark background, to get the full effect of climbing into the five minds of death itself) Start: 12.16.18 End: oo.oo.oo

Soren McKinin; the disappointment of the family, the child his parents wished did not belong to them, the type fathers warned their daughters not to date. Anger issues, a heartless brute that got into fights and saw the world as dark grey, helpless and pointless lump of rock. He was incapable of happiness, of love. So Soren would fall, he'd fall unnoticed and unwanted. He would fall just like snow. Andrew Parsley is most definitely straight. He obviously only likes girls if the many hook ups he has had in the past mean anything. Zachary Rogers is the definition of straight. He not only has a girlfriend, but he makes it his life goal to show everybody and Andrew Parsley that he's completely into this girl. Corbett Connors is, well, he seems straight, but Andrew can't ever tell because he'd rather puke his lunch up than stomach being around the guy. But, what if these three boys weren't what they showed everybody else on the outside? What if Andrew actually liked guys? What if that pretty cheerleader girlfriend of Zachary's was just a ploy? And what if Corbett was never really into girls to begin with like everybody thought? Throw in Andrew's crumbling life, Zachary's bad past, their surprising friendship, and Corbett's messed up personality, and you got just a couple of Straight Boys. ...
