Worlds like the one of Terminator, World of Warcraft, Destiny or even Dark Souls could exist. Now imagine this. Let's say you have no family. Very few friends. You think nobody would miss you, if you disappeared. One day, you wake up in another world, but not just any world, one you know all about, from your favorite game or series. You appear shortly before one of the most important moments happen, and you know all that's to come in the future. What would you do? Would you try to come back home?
