It picks up the story from the birth of Rory and Logan's child in Sydney, Australia and the new life that follows for them as a family. Heading up Huntzberger Media after Mitchum's health crisis is a challenge but Logan has vowed to put his family first. Will their new found faith help them through the trials that come as they reluctantly move back home?

Written from Lorelei, Rory, and Emily's POVs. This story takes place after the revival. I've decided to write what I think/want to happen after it ended. This is my first Gilmore Girls fanfiction, So bear with me. (I'm bad at descriptions.)

Rory is on the campaign trail with Senator Obama working for what is, in my head, somewhere between Huffington Post and Politico- she's writing political pieces and has a blog for the site Reporter Girl: Life as a Rookie Reporter, Logan did propose and walk away- went to California. This story picks up towards the end of June 2007 as the couple reconnects- they've missed each other, they were always destined to be together. But what happens when a sudden and severe illness threatens their newly rebuilt relationship? How will they juggle a life threatening illness, burgeoning careers, parental disapproval and Finn? Slightly AU- Lorelai and Chris had some marital problems, but none of that "you're the man I want to want" stuff, they're actually trying to work through it, going to therapy, it's going well and Gigi is acclimating to Stars Hollow life. Title comes from the quote by Plato: "And when one of them meets with his other half, the actual half of himself, whether he be a lover of your or a lover of another sort, the part are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy."

Not many people touched on what Logan would have been thinking or what was happening on the other side of the pond. (The reason the stories name was originally 'the other side'). As the story grew it kind of gained its ability to walk away from my thoughts and become something itself and I just continued with the flow.
